Call for Papers

The symposum will feature oral and poster presentations. Conference participants are welcome to share their experiences on geo-disaster and environmental hazards mitigations including hazard assessments, predictions, reduction of risks and the development of early warning systems.

Author are invited to submit abstract via electronic-mail (geologi@ugm.ac.id or geohazardugm@yahoo.com) to secretariat that will be peer-reviewed. Those accepted for oral presentations are required to submit the full-paper version. The abstract and full-papers will be included in the symposium proceeding.

Style and format of abstract:

The abstract is in MS word format not more than 1 page of A4 size paper, includes a maximum of 5 key words and clearly indicates the purpose of the work, approachs and results. The abstract(s) is in a single column with all margins of 2,5 cm, single space type written form and must include:

• Full title of the paper (12 point font size, Times New Roman font)
• Full names of the author and co-author (s) (12 point font size, Times New Roman font) and respective affiliation (10 point font size, Times New Roman font)
• Phone, fax, and email address of the corresponding author (10 point font size, Times New Roman font)
• Main text (12 point font size, Times New Roman font)

Style and format of manuscript (full-paper):

As the abstract above, the manuscript should be in MSWord or OpenOffice.org ducument format, not more than 12 pages of A4 paper, single column and one-halfspacing (1,5space). It consists at least of title, author, abstract, introduction, research methods, results, discussion, conclusions, and references. The style of formating, include:

• title: Arial, bold, 18pt font-size
• headings: Arial, bold, 12pt font-size
• abstract: Times New Roman, italic, 11pt font-size
• body text: Times New Roman, normal, 11pt font-size
• figures and tables should be put in last page
• please make a high resolution images (at least 300dpi), and all of vector-images in *.PNG format

Conference fee

Free for AUN/SEED-Net members and invited participants. For other participants, the registration fee is Rp. 1.000.000,- or US$ 100.- Registration fee can be transfered to the following bank account or paid within the conference.
